Grabowskia obtusa is a plant type from the genus Grabowskia in the family of the nightshade family (Solanaceae).

description

Grabowskia obtusa is a 4 to 5 m high shrub . The flowers stand individually, in twos or threes on short shoots 0.5 to 3 cm long, which stand on not yet lignified branches. The calyx is 3 to 7 mm long. The crown is greenish-white to purple-white in color and is 13 to 14 mm long. The fruits are spherical.

The species is widespread in the central-western areas of Argentina .

Systematics

Molecular biological studies place the species in a clade with the other representatives of the Grabowskia , which is a sister clade within the genus Lycium to a clade with the species Lycium cooperi , Lycium macrodon , Lycium pallidum , Lycium puberulum and Lycium shockleyi , whereby the genus of the buckthorn ( Lycium ) is not considered monophyletic .
