Grace Wong Xiu Mei (born January 18, 2000 ) is a Malaysian hammer thrower .
Athletic career
Grace Wong Xiu Mei gained her first international experience in 2015 when she finished fifth at the Asian Championships in Wuhan with a width of 53.10 m. She then took part in the Southeast Asian Games in Singapore for the first time , where she won the bronze medal behind the Thais Mingkamon Koomphon and Panwat Gimsrang with 53.80 m . In 2017 she won the silver medal at the Asian Youth Championships in Bangkok with 59.00 m and thus qualified for the U18 World Championships in Nairobi , where she was eliminated from the qualification with 61.28 m with the 3 kg hammer. Then she was eighth at the Asian Championships in Bhubaneswar with 57.18 m and won the Southeast Asian Games with a new player record of 59.24 m. Two years later, she won the silver medal behind the Thai Koomphon at the Southeast Asian Games in Capas with 55.82 m.
In 2019, Wong Xiu Mei became the Malaysian hammer throw champion.
