Panwat Gimsrang (born January 18, 1995 in Kanchanaburi ) is a Thai hammer thrower .

Athletic career

Panwat Gimsrang gained her first international experience at the Southeast Asian Games 2011 in Palembang , where she finished fifth with a width of 47.36 m. In 2012 she was at the Junior Asian Championships in Colombo with 47.22 m sixth. In 2013 she won the Southeast Asian Games in Naypyidaw with a new national record of 54.96 m and in 2014 she won the silver medal behind Hung Hsiu-wen from Taiwan at the Junior Asian Championships in Taipei with 54.66 m . She then finished seventh at the Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea, with 52.69 m. At the 2015 Southeast Asian Games in Singapore , she won the silver medal behind her compatriot Mingkamon Koomphon with 55.47 m . and in 2017 she won the bronze medal at the Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur with 56.06 m behind Malasian Grace Wong Xiu Mei and compatriot Koophon. In 2018 she finished eighth at the Asian Games in Jakarta with 55.59 m. The following year she was sixth at the Asian Championships in Doha with a width of 55.04 m and won the bronze medal behind Koophon and Wong Xiu Mei from Malaysia at the Southeast Asian Games in Capas with 55.84 m.

In 2016 Gimsrang was the Thai hammer throw champion.
