Grafenstock is the slang term for the Erdinger town hall .

history

lock

The building was built as a castle by Johann Warmund Freiherr von Preysing-Moos (1567–1648) . The castle came into the possession of the Counts of Seinsheim through marriage and in 1797 into civil hands. In 1825 the city of Erding bought the building.

town hall

Since 1866 it was used as the "New Town Hall". Portals and coats of arms were only attached to the previously rather simple property in 1912.

From 1891 to 1917 a branch of the post office was housed in the building next to the town hall, as well as the “Erdinger Heimatmuseum” (now the Erding Museum ) until 1985 .
