Graham Paul Roberts (born July 3, 1959 in Southampton ) is a retired English football player .

Career

Roberts was part of the successful Tottenham Hotspur team , which won the English Cup and a UEFA Cup twice. In 1986 the Englishman moved to Scotland to the Glasgow Rangers for the equivalent of around € 660,000. With the Rangers he immediately won the Scottish Championship and the Scottish League Cup a year later. In August 1988, the defender went to Chelsea . With the Blues he rose to the first English league. He let his career end at West Bromwich Albion . Internationally, he played six times for the English national football team .

In October 2010 it was announced that Roberts would be the new national coach for the Pakistan national soccer team at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou , China.
