Granowo ( German Granowo ; 1943–1945 Granau ) is a village in the powiat Grodziski of the Greater Poland Voivodeship in Poland . It is the seat of the rural community of the same name with 5123 inhabitants (as of June 30, 2019).

history

The village was first mentioned in writing in 1298. At the end of the 14th and beginning of the 15th century, the place belonged to Wincenty Granowski. His wife Elżbieta became the third wife of Władysław II Jagiełło after his death .

Worth seeing in Granowo is St. Martin's Church, built in 1729. There is a 19th century bell tower by the church.
