Astrid Schneider (born November 24, 1965 in Gehrden ) is a German architect and politician and was a member of the Alliance 90 / The Greens in the Berlin House of Representatives from 2009 to 2011 .

Life

Astrid Schneider studied architecture, urban and landscape planning and energy technology at the University of Kassel after graduating from the Ratsgymnasium in Hanover . This was followed by a degree in architecture at the Berlin University of the Arts , which she completed in 1993 with a Dipl.-Ing. Architecture finished. She works as a freelance architect specializing in solar architecture .

politics

Astrid Schneider is a member of Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen. On November 2, 2009, she moved to the House of Representatives for Lisa Paus , who had been elected to the Bundestag. For the election to the Berlin House of Representatives in 2011 , Schneider applied several times for a place on the state list , but was not reassigned by the Greens. With the constitution of the House of Representatives on October 27, 2011, Schneider left parliament. In 2013 it failed again, with 12.5% ​​of the vote, with an application for the Berlin state list of the Greens for the 2013 federal election .
