Graunch Gully

Graunch Gully is a glacial gully on the Borchgrevink coast of East Antarctica Victoria Land . At the base of the Hallett Peninsula , it leads from Edisto Glacier near The Football formation to the Football Saddle .

Scientists from a 1957-1958 campaign of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition named them. The name is derived from the slang word used in New Zealand for excessive exertion. The background to the name was the effort the scientists were exposed to in transporting material through this channel.
