Grazia Di Michele (born October 9, 1955 in Rome ) is an Italian cantautrice .

Life

In the 1970s, Di Michele founded the music group Ape Di Vetro with Clelia Lamorgese and Chiara Scott , with which she sang songs on political issues. In 1977 she appeared for the first time as a soloist in the folk studio . In the following year Vincenzo Micocci produced her first album Cliché with songs that were also characterized by social engagement. For her 1986 album Le ragazze di Gauguin she was awarded the Premio Vela d'Argento . With Lucio Fabbri , Vittorio Cosma and Eugenio Finardi , she recorded the album Grazia Di Michele in 1988 .

In 1990, she took along with Nicolette Larson with Io e mio padre at Sanremo Music Festival in 1990 in part, in the following year with Peppi Nocera and Se io fossi un uomo , the English translation ( If I Were in Your Shoes ) in Japan, Sweden, Norway and Switzerland was successful. In 1993 she recorded with Rossana Casale , Cristiano De André and Eugenio Finardi the track Gli amori diversi , which appeared on the album Confini .
