Gregory H. Millen (born June 25, 1957 in Toronto , Ontario ) is a former Canadian ice hockey goalkeeper who worked for the Pittsburgh Penguins , Hartford Whalers , St. Louis Blues , Québec Nordiques , Chicago Blackhawks from 1974 to 1992 and Detroit Red Wings played in the National Hockey League .
Career
Greg Millen began his career as a hockey player in the Canadian Junior League Ontario Hockey Association , in which he played from 1974 to 1978 for the Peterborough Petes and Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds was active. During this period he was selected in the NHL Amateur Draft 1977 in the sixth round as a total of 102nd player by the Pittsburgh Penguins . Towards the end of the 1977/88 season, the goalkeeper made his professional ice hockey debut for the Kalamazoo Wings from the International Hockey League . He then played for three years for the Pittsburgh Penguins in the National Hockey League . On June 15, 1981, he received a free agent contract with the Hartford Whalers , for which he was another four seasons between the posts, before he was in February 1985 with Mark Johnson in exchange for Mike Liut and Jörgen Pettersson at St. Louis Blues was delivered. Further stations up to the end of his career following the 1991/92 season at the age of 35 were the Québec Nordiques , Chicago Blackhawks and Detroit Red Wings from the NHL, and the San Diego Gulls from the IHL.
On the occasion of the Heroes of Hockey Game , which took place as part of the NHL All-Star Games 2001, he returned to the ice.
