Gregory Steven Miller (born October 8,  1977 in Mount Holly) is a former American - Italian basketball player .

career

Born in Mount Holly, New Jersey , Miller studied at the University of Delaware from 1997 to 2001 and played for the college's basketball team in the first NCAA division. In a total of 122 appearances, the 1.92-meter-tall builder and winger achieved averages of 6.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.6 assists per match.

His first position as a professional basketball player before the French second division Etendard de Brest, for whom he played briefly in the spring of 2002. For the 2002/03 season he moved to the Telekom Baskets Bonn in the basketball league in Germany. Miller stayed in Bonn until March 2004, but only played 16 Bundesliga games during this time, as injuries kept throwing him back. In spring 2005 he was signed by the Swedish first division club Södertälje Kings and strengthened the team until the end of the 2004/05 game year, when he won the Swedish championship with Södertälje.

In autumn 2005 he joined the German second division club Crailsheim Merlins , for whom he played until the end of the 2007/08 season and was a top performer. In his last season with the Crailsheimers, Miller scored an average of 18.1 points per match in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB and was particularly impressive as a distance thrower. At the beginning of the 2008/09 season he was in the service of the Swiss national league team Sion Herens Basket, but moved to TG Renesas Landshut in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB during the course of the game , as Sion had withdrawn from the competition.

In January 2010 Miller moved to BC Weissenhorn in the 2nd Bundesliga ProB and was equipped there with a contract until the end of the 2009/10 season.

Miller then returned to the United States and worked from the summer of 2010 to September 2012 as an assistant coach at Susquehanna University, Pennsylvania . Between 2012 and 2015 he was an assistant coach on the staff of the basketball team at St. Lawrence University ( New York state ), and in July 2015 he took over the post of head coach at the Naval Academy Preparatory School ( Rhode Island state ).
