Gregor Eibes

Gregor Eibes (* 4. February 1960 ) is a German local politician of the CDU . Since 2011 he has been the district administrator of the Rhineland-Palatinate district of Bernkastel-Wittlich .

Life

Gregor Eibes attended the Nikolaus-von-Kues-Gymnasium in Bernkastel-Kues , which he graduated from high school in 1979. He then did his basic military service in the Westerwald barracks in Montabaur until 1981 . In 1981 he began studying higher-level non-technical services at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration in Mayen , which he graduated in 1984 with a degree in administrative management. The practical partner of the course was the district administration of the Bernkastel-Wittlich district.

From 1985 he then held various positions within the district administration, including being a consultant for schools and culture and personal assistant to the former district administrators Helmut Gestrich and Beate Läsch-Weber . From 1995 he was head of the personnel department of the district administration of the Bernkastel-Wittlich district. From 1997 to 2011 he was the full-time mayor of the community of Morbach .

Eibes is married and has two children. As one of two vice-presidents, he has been part of the presidium of the Rhineland Football Association since June 2019 .

politics

On May 2, 2011, he was elected as the successor to District Administrator Läsch-Weber as the new District Administrator of the Bernkastel-Wittlich district with 59.6% of the vote. He then resigned his mayor's office. Eight years later, on May 2, 2019, he was confirmed for another term as the only candidate.
