Gregor Steffens
Gregor Steffens (born March 12, 1924 in Bottrop ; † December 15, 2012 ) was a German lawyer and judge at the Federal Social Court .
Life
From 1949 Steffens studied law at the University of Münster . In 1953 he passed the first and in 1957 the second state examination in law. He first became a paralegal and lawyer before becoming a social judge.
After a secondment to the State Social Court of North Rhine-Westphalia in 1963, Steffens was appointed to the State Social Court Councilor in August 1965.
In 1978 he became a judge at the Federal Social Court , in whose 9th Senate he was responsible for social compensation law and the law of statutory accident insurance . He worked there until his retirement in May 1986.
Steffens was a member of the Catholic student union K.St.V. Ravensberg Münster in the KV .
