Greta Taubert (* 1983 ) is a German journalist and author .

Life

Taubert studied journalism and political science at the University of Leipzig and Breslau . In between she volunteered at the Berliner Zeitung . She was a member of the development team of Stefan Aust's magazine “Woche” and wrote for SZ magazine , Vice and Die Zeit , among others . Her topics include social utopias , sustainability , urban life and criticism of growth .

Taubert was introduced to a wider audience in 2014 with the non-fiction book Apocalypse Jetzt! known, which documents her one - year self- attempt to get out of the western consumer culture. In 2016 she published her experiences with the concept of time prosperity in her book Im Club der Zeitmillionäre . Both books were published by Eichborn- Verlag. She appears as a moderator and speaker at events in Germany and abroad.

Awards

In 2009, Medium Magazin ranked her among the “Top 30 under 30”. The investigative report "The Prodigal Son" on international child trafficking was awarded the Kinderothilfe media prize in 2011 . In the anthology “Die 500” in 2014 she was presented as one of the most excellent women on the German media scene.
