Grete Pirchegger

Grete Pirchegger (born June 11, 1941 in Stanz im Mürz Valley , Styria ) is an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ).

Life

After completing compulsory schooling, Grete Pirchegger attended the St. Martin agricultural college in Graz from 1960 to 1961 . From 1963 she was a farmer by profession. After taking over the function of chamber councilor in the Styrian Chamber of Agriculture in 1986 , she was elected chairwoman of the state farmers' wives in Styria in 1991.

In December 1986 she moved into the Federal Council in Vienna as a Styrian delegate . From July 1989 to June 1994 she was Secretary of the Federal Council. Pirchegger resigned from the second Austrian parliamentary chamber in April 1997 after around eleven years.

Since her marriage she managed the farm vulgo Rosenthaler in Allerheiligen im Mürztal , of the former Styrian government from the possession of the family Anton Pirchegger come (1885-1949).
