Until the end of 2014, Allerheiligen im Mürzzuschlag was a municipality with 1,953 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2014) in the judicial district of Mürzzuschlag and in the political district of Bruck-Mürzzuschlag in the Austrian state of Styria . As part of the structural reform of the municipality in Styria , it was incorporated into the municipality of Kindberg from January 1, 2015 together with the former municipality of Mürzhofen . The new municipality is called Kindberg and is still a municipality. The basis for this is the Styrian Municipal Structural Reform Act - StGsrG.
Geographical location

Allerheiligen is located approx. 14 km northeast of the district capital Bruck an der Mur and approx. 30 km southwest of Mürzzuschlag .
geology
The municipality is a particularly interesting area in terms of geological structure. From the greywacke zone to the crystalline and Devonian limestone, everything is there. Magnesite has been found on the Eibeggsattel. At the foot of the plateau there are still tunnels where spade iron was mined. An alabaster plaster works was still operated in Edelsdorf until a few decades ago.

history
All Saints' Day was settled by the Slavs, followed by the Bavarians. It is assumed that around 800 - 1000 AD there was an ancestral farm where the school is today. A deed of donation from 1065 refers to the "Hube zu Sölsnitz", which the Stubenbergers donated to Admont Abbey. It was first mentioned in a document in 1154. The church in Kapellen is consecrated to all saints - hence “All Saints”.

traffic
The Allerheiligen-Mürzal stop is on the southern railway . Numerous regional trains stop in the direction of Bruck an der Mur or Mürzzuschlag . However, trains to Leoben , Friesach , Neumarkt , Unzmarkt , Graz and Spielfeld-Straß are often extended.
