The fyr Grip is a beacon in the West Norwegian municipality of Kristiansund in Fylke Møre og Romsdal .
The cast iron tower stands on a stone foundation. The beacon station also has a boathouse and two moorings.
Grip fyr is located on a rock near the fishing village of Grip , in front of the town of Kristiansund. The flat rocky island of Grip was the smallest municipality in Norway with 400 inhabitants until 1964. Grip was owned by the king until 1728, later Grip was administered by merchants from Kristiansund. Today, Grip is no longer permanently inhabited. The residential buildings are only used and preserved as holiday homes.
