Molja fyr , also Ålesund fyrstasjon , is a lighthouse in the port of the city of Ålesund on the western Norwegian coast in Fylke Møre og Romsdal .

The round lighthouse was built in 1858 on the tip of the pier, which was built in 1854, on the south side of the harbor entrance. In 1889 the tower's beacon was modernized.

The red tower bears the large Norwegian inscription SAKTE FART ( German : slow speed) on its north side , with which the ships entering the port are requested to move at a speed appropriate for the port. Today the tower is operated as 12 m² room number 47 of the Ålesund Hotel Brosundet and is often used for honeymoons . There is a bathroom on the ground floor and a bedroom on the upper floor. The design was carried out by the Snøhetta architectural office .

In the program Horst Lichter sucht das Glück from ZDF from 2017, Horst Lichter visits the lighthouse where his friend Jenke is staying. The Ålesund Fisheries Museum is located at the shore end of the pier .
