The Skalmen fyr is a beacon on the west Norwegian coast in the municipality of Smøla in Fylke Møre og Romsdal .
The first lighthouse keeper on Skalmen fyr, Anton Lund , was the first helmsman to take part in the Gjøa expedition led by Roald Amundsen . The Gjøa was the first ship to cross the Northwest Passage in 1906 .
