Groß Woltersdorf is a district of the municipality of Barnekow in the district of Northwest Mecklenburg in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .
Geography and transport links
Groß Woltersdorf is located northeast of the core town of Barnekow on the L 012 state road . The B 105 runs to the west, the B 106 to the east and the A 20 to the south . The Köppernitz flows through the village .
history
In the village or in the immediate vicinity there are several sites from prehistory and early history (see Barnekow # history ):
- Find of several bronzes in 1880 in the moor between Barnekow and Groß Woltersdorf
- Bone finds and stone devices in Großwoltersdorf on the way after 1868 dam Bergenhusen , a city district part of Wismar was discovered
- a Wendish rampart on the way to Stofferstorf , in the immediate vicinity of the moor, where the bronzes were found in 1880
- a medieval former castle complex on the southern outskirts
