The Große Laue, in the upper reaches partly just Laue, is a brook in the Drautal in the municipalities of Dölsach and Nikolsdorf ( district of Lienz ). The Große Laue rises south-east of Unterdorf (municipality of Dölsach) and flows into the Drau south-east of Nikolsdorf at the Kärntner Tor .
course
The Große Laue rises in two headwaters in the Drautal south-east of Unterdorf and south of the Kapaun Inn. The left or northern source arm is fed by several unnamed source streams that arise on the southern slopes of the Görtschacher Berg. The south or right arm of the spring is fed by water from the valley floor. Both arms of the spring flow in a south-easterly direction parallel to the Drau and unite to the south-west of the village of Lengberg . Shortly afterwards the Korberbach and the Zappernitzbach flow on the left and the Klingenlaue on the right. Subsequently, the Große Laue flows past a sawmill, then takes the Chrysantenbach on the left south of Nikolsdorf, shortly afterwards changes to the southern side of the federal highway 100 and then flows into the Drau at the Kärntner Tor.
