The Great Lakes region

The region of the Great Lakes (Engl. Great Lakes ) covers most of the Canadian province of Ontario and eight US states that the Great Lakes border. The central state is Michigan , which is separated into a north and south half by the lake of the same name and has shares in four of the five Great Lakes. Major ports on the Saint Lawrence Seaway in the Great Lakes region include Chicago , Detroit , Cleveland , Buffalo, and Toronto .
