The Große Horbach is an almost two kilometer long left tributary of the Sauer in the southern Palatinate .

The Great Horbach rises at an altitude of 299  m above sea level. NN in the western Wasgau on the eastern slope of the Goldgrübel . It flows about 250 m south-east through a narrow, wooded valley, then turns south, flows west past the Horbachkanzel , then crosses under the L478 at the deserted Reissler Forsthaus and finally flows out at an altitude of 233  m above sea level. NN underground in the Schöntal pond .
