The Große Moosstock (also Großer Moostock or Großer Moosnock ; Italian Picco Palù ) is a 3059 m slm high mountain in the Durreck group ( South Tyrol , Italy ). It is located in the Rieserferner-Ahrn Nature Park and is the local mountain of Ahornach . From here the mountain is climbed over the southwest ridge.
On Moosstock extreme trained climber Hans Kammerlander for his endeavors. In good shape, he covered the 1700 meters of altitude difference from Ahornach in just over an hour.
