Great Pielachtaler circular hiking trail 652

The Große Pielachtaler Rundwanderweg 652 is a 115 km (previously 107 km) long hiking trail in the Pielachtal ( Lower Austria ), which can be walked all year round. The path was founded in 1977 and is marked with the number 652 on red-white-red signs.
Route
The path leads from the northeast via the communities of Ober-Grafendorf , Weinburg , Hofstetten-Grünau , Rabenstein an der Pielach , Kirchberg an der Pielach to Frankenfels and Schwarzenbach an der Pielach , where it reaches the southernmost point and back again via Loich , Kirchberg an der Pielach, Rabenstein an der Pielach, Hofstetten-Grünau and Ober-Grafendorf.
The walking time is about 30 hours, with altitudes of 304 m above sea level. A. up to 880 m above sea level A. are to be exceeded.
Since this is a circular hiking trail, the route can be started from any point and walked in any direction. The hiking route can be easily reached by train ( Mariazellerbahn ) or by car.
Stages
Depending on your fitness level, two to 14 stages are suggested.
Baumgarten - Eck - Grünau - Gnauöd - Luft - Schwabeck-Kreuz - Grüntalkogelhütte - Höhaben - Frankenfels - Falkensteinmauer - Schwarzenbach an der Pielach - Loich - Sois - Tradigist - Kaiserkogel - Hading - Baumgarten
At the Schwabeck cross , the path crosses with the European long-distance hiking trail E4 .

Others
There are checkpoints in inns or self-checkpoints where stamps can be entered in the hiking pass.
A hiking pin can be acquired in three stages as recognition. Bronze for the first ascent, silver for the second ascent and gold for multiple documented hikes.
