The Wholesale Market Vienna , formerly Großgrünmarkt Wien-Inzersdorf , is the most important wholesale location for food and flowers in Austria for resellers and processors in the B2B sector . It is administered by Großmarkt Wien Betrieb GmbH.

The Vienna wholesale market is located in the Blumental in Inzersdorf , a part of the 23rd district of Liesing . The wholesale market opened in 1972 replaced the fruit and vegetable markets west of the Naschmarkt (for domestic goods) and at the Matzleinsdorfer freight station (for foreign goods) as well as the flower wholesale market in the Phorushalle on the Wieden . In 2007 the meat market moved from Sankt Marx to the wholesale market in Vienna . The market area extends over an area of 30 hectares . At the main entrance on Laxenburger Straße is the 10,000 square meter flower hall, where 50 percent of the total turnover of flowers in Austria is processed. The meat wholesale market near the north gate on Heizwerkstrasse is 7,000 square meters. The trade in fruit and vegetables, which makes up 70 percent of the total turnover in Austria, takes place in several halls, stand groups and open spaces spread across the site.
