from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The megalithic graves near Sembzin were at least two megalithic graves from the Neolithic funnel beaker culture near Sembzin , a district of Klink in the Mecklenburg Lake District ( Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ). They were destroyed in the 19th century. Their exact location is not known. There is also no more detailed information about the orientation, dimensions and type of grave. According to Friedrich Franz Elias von Kardorff and Johann Ritter , one of the graves was still well preserved in 1847, while a second, neighboring grave had already fallen victim to the clay and marl mining . Robert Beltz also led the other grave in 1899 than went out. There were originally other large stone graves in the immediate vicinity: North of Sembzin were the large stone graves near Klink , which were also destroyed in the 19th century, and the still preserved large stone grave Wendhof to the west .
