Emergence 3500 to 2800 BC Chr.

The large stone grave Angermünde was a megalithic burial site, presumably from the Neolithic beaker culture near Angermünde in the Uckermark district ( Brandenburg ). It was destroyed in the 19th century.

location

The grave was located south of Angermünde, in a combing - Vorwerk between the Berliner Landstrasse and the district boundary to Herzsprung in a field.

description

The complex had a square burial chamber made of field stones. There is no information about dimensions and alignment. Since the chamber had several capstones, the largest of which was already missing in 1822, it should have been an enlarged dolmen or a large dolmen .

In 1822 an "urn" filled with ashes was allegedly found in the grave. Her whereabouts are unknown and it is unclear whether it is a lack interpreted neolithic vessel (eg. A funnel cup ) or a Metal Age Secondary burial acted.
