The Eickelberg large stone grave was a megalithic grave complex of the Neolithic funnel cup culture near Eickelberg , a district of Warnow in the Rostock district ( Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ). It was destroyed in the early 20th century.

location

The grave was located east of Eickelberg near the Warnow . The large stone grave of Klein Görnow still stands less than 1 km from its original location . There was also originally a large stone grave near the neighboring town of Eickhof .

description

According to Carl August Schwerdtfeger , in 1839 the grave still consisted of several wall stones that were inclined outwards. The capstones had fallen into the interior of the burial chamber . Information on the alignment and dimensions of the chamber is not available. Ewald Schuldt classified them as large dolmen . Robert Beltz kept the grave as preserved in 1899. Ernst Sprockhoff could no longer find any traces in the 1930s.
