location

The grave was in a small wooded area near Eickhof near the bank of the Warnow . The large stone grave of Klein Görnow still stands about 2 km from its original location . There was also originally a large stone grave near the neighboring town of Eickelberg .

description

According to Carl August Schwerdtfeger , in 1839 the grave still had a north-west-south-east oriented oval mound with a length of 60 paces (approx. 45 m) and a width of 10 paces (approx. 7.5 m). The enclosure still consisted of 30–40 stones. The burial chamber was not visible. Ewald Schuldt classified them as a passage grave . Robert Beltz led the grave in 1899 when it had gone out.
