Great stone grave Unseburg
The large stone grave Unseburg was a Neolithic megalithic grave in Unseburg , a district of the municipality of Bördeaue in the Salzlandkreis , Saxony-Anhalt . It was destroyed in the late 19th or early 20th century. There is no information about the exact location or the nature of the grave. It is only known that in 1870 a large number of well-preserved ceramic vessels were found “in a huge ditch” near Unseburg. The only surviving vessel is a 8.8 cm high cup from the Bernburg culture , which first came to the Harz Museum in Wernigerode and is now in the State Museum of Prehistory in Halle (Saale) . The whereabouts of the remaining vessels is unknown.
