In April 2010, construction work began to erect a visitor building. The expansion of the tunnels is also well advanced. A staircase and ladder were installed to connect the lower, middle and upper tunnels. This connects the three mining levels in the visitor mine.

The former company buildings near the tunnel entrance have been renovated and now serve a gastronomic business that is used by hikers in the picturesque Nitztal and visitors to the St. Jost pilgrimage chapel .
