The group of Walters 48.42 (English Group of Walters 48.42 ) is a stylistic group of Attic vases of the late phase of the black-figure style from the last quarter of the 6th century BC. The name vase , after which the group got its emergency name , is in the Walters Art Museum in Baltimore , inventory number 48.42.

The group is stylistically defined by the type of gorgoneion inside and the drawing style of vines, eyes and branches on the outside. The group consists almost entirely of eye shells , inside of which there is a gorgoneion. Either Dionysus masks, satyrs or maenads are shown between the eyes . Two skyphoi were also assigned to the group .

John D. Beazley originally summarized the group of Walters 48.42, the Durand painter and the painter of Munich 2100 in the Krokotos group . He later assigned the works of the painter from Munich 2100 to the group of Walters 48.42. The group of Walters 48.42 corresponds to that of Annie D. Ure assembled group of Krokotos shells .
