Guaymas (officially Heroica Guaymas de Zaragoza ) is a city in the Mexican state of Sonora with 113,082 inhabitants (2010). It is located in the south of Sonora in the municipality of Guaymas , 117 kilometers south of Hermosillo . Guaymas was founded in 1769 .
