Gudrun Klein

Klärchen Gudrun Klein (born April 22, 1943 in Chemnitz ) is a German SPD politician . From 1994 to 2004 she was a member of the state parliament of Saxony .

Life

Between 1961 and 1967, Klein studied paper technology and processing machine construction with a degree in engineering at the TU Dresden . She then worked in Wittenberg until 1969, after which she was employed as a technical college teacher until 1992. She was also a research assistant at the engineering school for mechanical engineering in Breitenbrunn in the Ore Mountains , where she lives, and at the TU Chemnitz . Then she worked for another two years until she moved into the state parliament of Saxony, for the workers' welfare in Breitenbrunn.

Klein has been a member of the SPD since 1989. In 1994 she entered the Saxon state parliament for the first time via the state list , to which she belonged for two legislative periods until 2004. As a direct candidate in the constituency 6 - Westerzgebirge 2 they defeated in the parliamentary elections in 1994 and 1999 respectively Eva Maria Schonfeld ( CDU ). Klein was a member of the Committee on Agriculture, Food and Forests and was a spokeswoman for the SPD parliamentary group on agricultural policy. In 2004 she did not run for elections and withdrew from politics.
