Gudurica ( Serbian - Cyrillic Гудурица , German Kudritz , Hungarian Temeskutas ) is a place in the Serbian Banat in the province of Vojvodina . It belongs to the Opština of Vršac .
history
The place was first mentioned in 1358 as Kuthres . In 1552 the entire region is conquered by the Ottomans. With the capture of the Temesvar fortress in 1716, the place fell to the Habsburg Empire. An official description of the place written in 1717 calls it Gutorza , which consists of only 17 houses. From 1719 the first German settlers, led by Johann Tetz, came from Alsace , who re-founded the place and operated viticulture here. During the 7th Austrian Turkish War , the place was devastated in 1738 by Romanians allied with the Turks. After the resettlement, a parish was established in Kudritz in 1741. In 1751 the place had 150 houses that were only inhabited by Germans.
