Guendalina Buffon (born May 14, 1973 in Carrara , Italy ) is a former Italian volleyball player .

Career

Guendalina Buffon began her career at the age of 14 at Valsega Carrara in the B1 series. In 1988 she moved to Cosaid Carrarese in the A2 series, which Buffon left a year later for Sirio Perugia in the A1 series. From then on, the outside attacker played in the highest Italian volleyball league: until 1993 in Perugia , from 1993 to 1995 at Impresem Agrigento and from 1995 to 1999 at Pallavolo Femminile Matera . With the Italian national team Buffon took part in the 1994 World Cup in Rio de Janeiro . Her greatest successes were winning the Italian Cup in 1992 and the European Champions League in 1996 . After two more years in the A2 series at Figurella Florence and Fiam ITA Meta Pesaro , Buffon ended her career in 2001.

Private

She is a sister of soccer goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon . Former goalkeeper Lorenzo Buffon is her grandfather's cousin.
