Gufflham is part of the municipality of Burgkirchen an der Alz in the Upper Bavarian district of Altötting . The village with 17 residential buildings (as of 2017) is three and a half kilometers southwest of the main town south of the Alz Canal .

history

The former parish founded by the parish edict of 1818 was called Guffelham until 1875 . At the 1961 census, the community in the Altötting district consisted of 172 residential buildings in 40 locations and had 905 inhabitants on a community area of ​​1016 hectares . It was dissolved on January 1, 1969 and its parts of the municipality Bachstadt , Bremsstallmühle , Buchhäusl , Griesmühle , Himmelreich , Hinterberg , Höhlen , Hölzl , Holzen , Oberberg , Obermühl , Riedl , Schönberg , Sensmühl , Staindl , Unterberg , Weberau and Wimpersing came to the municipality of Burgkirchen adAlz. Aichelberg , Auwies , Beiln , Bergham , Brodstrumm , Edhof , Engelsberg , Griesstätt , Gufflham, Gunzing , Hiebl , Hirten, Höresham , Hundsberg , Königshäusl , Lötschau , Magerl , Oswald , Schralling , Thal , Trinkberg and Urfahrn came to the newly founded community of Hirten . On January 1, 1978, the Hirten parish was dissolved. While a smaller part was reclassified to the Kirchweidach community , the main part came with Gufflham to Burgkirchen an der Alz.
