Guido Hüsgen

Guido Hüsgen (born July 4, 1969 in Emmerich ) is a German sports reporter .

Life

After graduating from high school (1990) and doing military service, Guido Hüsgen completed a degree in sports science at the Sport University in Cologne , followed by a two-year traineeship at a Mönchengladbach local radio station , Radio 90.1 .

From 1998 Hüsgen worked at Antenne Düsseldorf . Here he headed the sports department and moderated the afternoon program until 1999. He also commented on Fortuna Düsseldorf's games . He has been a sports reporter at Antenne Bayern since December 1999, but is referred to there as a sports editor. There he comments on the games of FC Bayern Munich and the international matches of the German national soccer team .

The most important events of his career include the 2001 Champions League final between FC Bayern Munich and FC Valencia , as well as the commentary on the 2006 World Cup final . Hüsgen was also a reporter and commentator at the 2004 Summer Olympics and the Tour de France .

Since the beginning of the 2006 Bundesliga season, Hüsgen has been a commentator on the pay-TV channel Premiere . In addition, he works as a project manager and media officer at a large German motorsport organizer. Hüsgen also moderates various events and is active as a voice actor. Hüsgen is also a member of the editorial team at Virgo Film and Faro TV .

Hüsgen currently moderates both Bundesliga games on Sport1.FM , as well as various sports on the pay TV broadcaster DAZN .

Guido Hüsgen is the father of two children.
