Guido Maria Casullo

Guido Maria Casullo (born May 27, 1909 in Monteleone di Puglia ; † January 10, 2004 ) was Bishop of Cândido Mendes .

Life

Guido Maria Casullo was ordained a priest on July 16, 1932 . Pius XII. appointed him on May 29, 1951 Bishop of Nusco .

The Archbishop of Benevento , Agostino Mancinelli , donated him episcopal ordination on July 15 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Gioacchino Pedicini , Bishop of Avellino , and Pasquale Venezia , Bishop of Ariano .

John XXIII appointed him on February 11, 1963 auxiliary bishop in Pinheiro and titular bishop of Utica . He attended every session of the Second Vatican Council . Paul VI appointed him on December 20, 1965 as prelate of Cândido Mendes . On May 26, 1978 he renounced his titular bishopric as part of the new allocation guidelines of the Roman Curia . On October 13, 1983, the Pope raised the territorial prelature to a diocese and appointed him Bishop of Cândido Mendes. On November 5, 1985, John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation.
