Walmir Alberto Valle

Walmir Alberto Valle IMC (born April 14, 1938 in Nova Trento , † August 26, 2019 in Joaçaba ) was a Brazilian religious and Roman Catholic bishop of Joaçaba .

Life

Walmir Alberto Valle joined the Congregation of Consolata Missionaries and was ordained a priest on December 21, 1963 .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Cândido Mendes on November 5, 1985 . The Pope personally donated him episcopal ordination on January 6 of the next year ; Co- consecrators were Cardinal Secretary of State Agostino Casaroli and Bernardin Gantin , Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for Bishops . He was inducted into office on June 2 of the same year.

On November 6, 2002, he was appointed coadjutor bishop of Joaçaba . With the resignation of Osório Bebber on April 9, 2003, he succeeded him as Bishop of Joaçaba. He resigned from his office on April 14, 2010.
