The Roman Catholic Diocese of Joaçaba ( Latin Dioecesis Ioassabensis , Portuguese Diocese de Joaçaba ) is in Brazil located Roman Catholic diocese based in Joaçaba in the state of Santa Catarina .

history

The Diocese of Joaçaba was on June 12, 1975 by Pope Paul VI. established with the Apostolic Constitution Quo aptius from cedings of the dioceses of Caçador , Chapecó and Lages . It was subordinated to the Archdiocese of Florianópolis as a suffragan .
