The Guiel is a river in France that runs in the Normandy region . It rises east of Gacé , in the municipality of La Trinité-des-Laitiers , generally drains in a north-easterly direction and flows into the Charentonne after 24 kilometers at the municipal boundary of La Trinité-de-Réville and Saint-Agnan-de-Cernières as a left tributary . In the upper reaches of the Guiel, the A28 motorway follows its course for a few kilometers. The river crosses the Orne and Eure departments on its way .

Attractions

Between Heugon and Verneusses the river seeps into the karst subsoil and after around two kilometers comes back to the surface in a karst spring near the village of Ternant .
