Gulripschi ( Abkhazian Гәылрыҧшь / Gwylrypsch , Russian Гулрыпш / Gulrypsch , Georgian გულრიფში ) is a city in Abkhazia .
Gulripshi located about 12 km south-east of the Abkhaz capital of Sukhumi on the highway Sochumi- Tbilisi and the main line of the Abkhaz railway . A few kilometers south of the city, near the town of Dranda , is the Sukhumi-Dranda airport , the most important commercial airport in Abkhazia. Gulripschi is the capital of the Gulripschi municipality named after him . The economy of the city on the Black Sea is mainly geared towards tourism.
