Gundetswil is a village that belongs to Wiesendangen . It is located about 1.5 kilometers northwest of the community on Hauptstrasse 1 between Attikon and Islikon . The village is on the border with the canton of Thurgau , on the railway line from Frauenfeld to Winterthur and on the A7 . Gundetswil has a bus stop which is served by line 611 and two restaurants.
Before 1928, the seven communities Bertschikon, Gundetswil, Kefikon ZH, Liebensberg, Stegen, Gündlikon and Zünikon were civil parishes . Then they were dissolved and united to the Bertschikon community.
Politically, Gundetswil has been part of Wiesendangen since 2014.
The elimination of a building zone in Gundetswil has strengthened the trend towards an agglomeration community .
