Gunnar Lindström
Nils Gunnar Lindström (born February 11, 1896 in Eksjö ; † October 6, 1951 ) was a Swedish athlete who was successful in javelin throwing in the 1920s . The athlete, who started for Malmö AI and from 1924 for Eksjö GIK , won six national championships:

He participated in three Olympic Games and won a silver medal:
- VI. Olympic Summer Games 1920 in Antwerp : sixth with 60.52 m (victory distance of the Finn Jonni Myyrä : 65.78 m). The following year (1921) he threw his personal best with 63.98 m.
- VII Summer Olympics in Paris in 1924 : SILVER with 60.92 m behind Jonni Myyrä (gold with 62.96 m) and in front of the American Eugene Oberst (bronze with 58.35 m). In the same year Lindström achieved a world record for the year with 63.35 m.
- VIII. 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam : Although he was second on the world's best list of the year with 67.77 m, he failed in Amsterdam and only came in 14th with 58.69 m (victory distance of the Swede Erik Lundqvist : 66.60 m)
