Gunnar Simon

Gunnar Simon (born May 25, 1940 in Ulm ) is a German lawyer and was a permanent state secretary in the Federal Ministry of Defense (BMVg).

Life

Simon studied law at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen , the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and the University of Hamburg . After graduating in 1968, he became a consultant at the Federal Office for Defense Technology and Procurement in Koblenz and later at the BMVg in Bonn . From 1984 to 1988 he headed the office of Defense Minister Manfred Wörner (CDU). In 1990 he was transferred to Strausberg as deputy head of the BMVg at the Ministry for Disarmament and Defense of the GDR. In 1992 he became head of department and in 1996 permanent state secretary in the Ministry of Defense and thus a political official .
