Gunther Wolf (entrepreneur)

Gunther Wolf (born July 20, 1964 in Kaiserslautern ) is a German entrepreneur and management consultant .

Life

Gunther Wolf grew up in Kaiserslautern , Meerbusch , Butzbach and Wuppertal , among others . After graduating from high school in Wuppertal , he first studied economics at the University of Cologne . He transferred in 1985 to the University of Wuppertal to there Economics study. At the same time he studied psychology at the University of Trier . He graduated from both courses in 1989 with a diploma (Dipl.-Oec. And Dipl.-Psych.).

During his studies he worked as a personnel and management trainer as well as a management consultant in the areas of marketing, sales and personnel. In 1983 he invented the credit card-shaped customer card as an instrument for customer loyalty for the cigarette brand Camel . In 1984 he developed the concept of outdoor training in the field of corporate management and personnel development in the Netherlands . In his first book, which was only published in the United States , he compared every conventional training with an outdoor concept as a counterpart .

After completing both courses, Gunther Wolf founded IO Business Management Consulting and Training , now Systagon, in Wuppertal in 1989 . From 1992 to 1995 he worked as an interim manager, in particular at subsidiaries of General Motors such as Adam Opel AG , GMAC, Raytheon and Delphi Automotive .

In 1996, Gunther Wolf developed the concept of target optimization as a variable remuneration system that particularly integrates employees . In 2005 he founded the SELIMAB method for the economic optimization of employee retention measures , which integrates the potential-performance portfolio . In 2013, he expanded this concept to include the PEA system for the strategic management of personnel potential, company value and employer attractiveness. Since 2017 he has been researching and publishing mainly in the field of performance management .
