geography

Guntramovice extends along the Budišovka and is divided into the localities Horní Guntramovice ( Upper Gundersdorf ) and Dolní Guntramovice ( Lower Gundersdorf ). South of Horní Guntramovice is the Červená hora ( Red Mountain , 749 m) with a 590 m long tow lift.

history

At the beginning of the 16th century, the then largely German-speaking population of Gundersdorf, like the towns and communities in the area (e.g. Bautsch 1518), first became Lutheran at the beginning of the 16th century, until after the Battle of White Mountain in 1620 by the imperial governor Cardinal Franz Xaver von Dietrichstein initiated the re-Catholicization that lasted well into the 17th century.

During the Seven Years War , the headquarters of the Austrian troops under Ernst Gideon von Laudon was on the Roten Berg near Guntersdorf . On June 28, 1758, the first skirmish with Prussian troops took place on the Red Mountain. Laudon then moved to Domstadtl , where two days later he was able to capture the Prussian supply train for the siege of Olomouc during the attack near Domstadtl .

In 1920 Gundersdorf had 503 inhabitants, in 1939 there were 457. The activity of a basalt gravel-producing company based in Bautsch can be noted as a special feature of the then agricultural town.

After the Munich Agreement , Gundersdorf was added to the German Empire and belonged to the Bärn district until 1945 .

In 1946 the largely German-speaking population was expelled .

In 1991 the place had 175 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 64 houses in which 196 people lived.
