Gurten beer

Gurten Bier is a beer brand of the former Gurten Bier AG brewery on Gurten , the local mountain of the city of Bern , in the municipality of Köniz in Wabern near Bern .

The brewery was founded in 1864 by Johann Juker from Bolligen . In 1903 it became a stock corporation and in 1970 it was taken over by the Feldschlösschen brewery . In 1997 production was relocated to Rheinfelden in the canton of Aargau . The Gurten Beer AG was disbanded following the merger with Feldschlösschen Beverages Holding AG 2,001th Since then, the beer has been produced in the Cardinal brewery in Freiburg im Üechtland and, after it closed in 2011, at Feldschlösschen in Rheinfelden .
